Crypto venture capital (VC) funding reached $5.68 billion in Q2 2026, marking a 31% increase from the first quarter and a 10% rise in deal count, according to Galaxy Research.

The surge was driven mainly by later-stage financing, with mature companies receiving approximately 78% of the capital invested during the quarter.

The Q2 rebound was larger in dollar terms than in transaction volume, indicating that larger financings accounted for much of the quarterly increase.
