$589 XRP Price Target Revived Amid Bagpipe Controversy
Crypto analyst Egrag Crypto has revived the infamous $589 target for XRP, sparking renewed price speculation in the community. This target, which was first proposed by an anonymous figure known as Bearableguy123 during 2017 and 2018, carries significant importance among supporters due to its connection to a series of cryptic posts.
One of the most well-known images associated with the $589 prediction features an astronaut standing on the Moon while holding bagpipes. Former Ripple CTO David Schwartz posted a bagpipe GIF on X, which some interpreted as a hidden signal for the price target. However, Schwartz quickly poured cold water on this interpretation, stating that 'when the pipes started playing, it often meant it was time to move… away from the bagpipes.'
Egrag Crypto has published a long-term XRP chart containing the $589 figure and notes that three major technical conditions must be met for the higher targets to become reality. These conditions include maintaining support around XRP's 77-month exponential moving average, recovering its 33-month EMA, and breaking above the descending resistance of a large diamond formation.
The potential valuation of XRP reaching $589 would be staggering, with a market capitalization of at least $37 trillion. This is roughly equivalent to exceeding the present value of every publicly traded company and cryptocurrency combined.
