$6.9 Billion Crypto Transfer Exposed: Helping Russia Dodge Sanctions

A7, a cryptocurrency company led by fugitive oligarch Ilan Shor, allegedly transferred at least $6.9 billion through foreign banks connected to the SWIFT network, helping Russia evade international sanctions.

The transactions passed through hundreds of shell companies and used forged invoices with stamps from real companies that disguised sensitive goods as electrical converters to mislead compliance departments.

A7 allegedly used state-owned banks in Kyrgyzstan initially, then later switched to the United Arab Emirates when suspicious transactions were detected. However, even the UAE eventually adopted Western sanctions and closed all A7-related accounts.
