Aave Brings Institutional Lending to Avalanche with Tokenized Assets
Aave has announced it's building a dedicated real-world asset lending market on Avalanche, allowing institutions to borrow stablecoins against tokenized holdings without selling what they own.
The new RWA Hub will run through Aave V4's existing deployment and create a credit market built specifically for institutional borrowers. Eligible tokenized financial assets can serve as collateral, while borrowers draw stablecoin liquidity without liquidating their positions.
Tether's USA₮ will serve as the primary source of dollar liquidity for the new market, marking one of its first real deployments inside decentralized lending.
The partnership carries weight beyond Aave and Avalanche alone, as it sets up a concrete institutional DeFi product worth watching. The move arrives as real-world holdings brought on-chain have grown roughly 40% over the past year, now topping $51 billion industry-wide.
