Aave Brings Tokenized Stock Collateral to USDC Borrowing
Aave V4 on Base has launched tokenized stock collateral for USDC borrowing, allowing users to deposit and borrow against seven major tech stocks.
The Equities Hub, which went live on Friday, includes tokenized versions of Apple (AAPL), Amazon (AMZN), Alphabet (GOOGL), Meta (META), Microsoft (MSFT), Nvidia (NVDA), and Tesla (TSLA).
Aave founder Stani Kulechov says public equities represent one of the world's largest capital pools, and tokenization is bringing that capital onchain.
The initial collateral cap for the seven stocks is around $29 million, with a USDC supply cap of $32 million and a borrow cap of $21 million. Collateral factors range from 65% to 79%, depending on the stock.
