Aave Corrects Below $161 as Profit-Taking Emerges
Aave's price corrected slightly on Wednesday, trading below $161 after surging more than 10% the previous day.
The surge was followed by increased profit-taking, as indicated by Santiment's Network Realized Profit/Loss (NPL) metric, which spiked sharply on Tuesday to its highest level since early May.
Aave founder Stani Kulechov is considering adding an AAVE token-burn mechanism to Aavenomics 3.0, which could strengthen the protocol's tokenomics and reduce circulating supply alongside the existing revenue-funded buyback program launched in 2025.
