Aave Deprecates 75 Asset Reserves in Risk Management Overhaul
Aave has proposed deprecating 75 asset reserves and shutting down deployments across six networks as part of an updated risk management strategy.
The changes affect assets with a total supply of $98.1 million and open borrows of $15.6 million, according to the proposal.
Aave founder and CEO Stani Kulechov said that following a comprehensive review, the protocol will end support for 50 low-usage asset reserves.
The team also plans to gradually wind down its deployments on Sonic, Scroll, zkSync, Metis, Soneium, and Aptos, which will affect another 25 asset reserves.
