Aave Expands DeFi Capabilities with Tokenized Stocks
Aave has expanded its decentralized finance (DeFi) capabilities by introducing tokenized stocks as collateral for borrowing USDC, further broadening its user base and increasing its relevance in the crypto market.
This move positions Aave alongside Ondo, which is also working to bring traditional assets onto blockchains. The integration of seven Coinbase Tokenized Stocks on Aave V4 on Base enables eligible customers outside the United States to use these tokens as collateral for borrowing USDC, with Chainlink providing market data.
Remittix is another player in the space, focusing on payments and customer convenience rather than lending infrastructure or institutional relationships. Its PayFi ecosystem aims to convert crypto-funded transfers into fiat delivered to compatible bank accounts, helping individuals and businesses bridge digital holdings and traditional financial commitments.
