Aave Founder Considers Token Burn Mechanism for Aavenomics 3.0

Aave founder Stani Kulechov has sparked debate among crypto enthusiasts by suggesting the implementation of a token burn mechanism in Aavenomics 3.0.

The proposal, shared on September 28-29, would mark a significant shift from the current buyback model, which accumulates purchased tokens in reserves.

Under the proposed system, tokens sent to a burn address would be permanently destroyed, reducing the total supply and increasing each remaining token's value.

Kulechov hasn't provided specifics on how the burn would work mechanically or what percentage of revenue it might consume. The Aave community awaits more details during an upcoming quarterly call.
