Aave Price Drops 7.5% Amid Regulatory Uncertainty

Aave's price dropped by about 7.5% over the past 24 hours due to a broad crypto risk-off phase, according to CoinMarketCap.

The decline is attributed to a sharp market-wide drawdown following the US Senate's failure to advance the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, which added to regulatory uncertainty and risk aversion in the crypto market.

Aave founder Stani Kulechov mentioned the bill's failure and expectations of heavier SEC and CFTC rule-making in an interview after the Senate vote, noting that AAVE was down 10.24% on the same day.

The bulk of the price move is seen as a regulatory-driven risk-off move in crypto, where DeFi tokens like Aave typically sell off more than Bitcoin during negative macro or policy shocks.
