Aave Pushes DeFi Boundaries as DigiTap Chases Consumer Fintech
Aave's latest governance proposal is pushing the boundaries of decentralized finance (DeFi) by connecting regulated custody with on-chain credit. The protocol, one of DeFi's biggest lending protocols, aims to bridge the gap between traditional custody and decentralized lending.
The proposed V4 structure would allow institutions to borrow stablecoins against assets held with Anchorage Digital, a qualified custodian. This setup extends Aave's lending model beyond its existing retail markets and gives DeFi another route into institutional credit.
Meanwhile, DigiTap is building around the everyday side of crypto, focusing on consumer fintech products such as wallet, card, and payment functionality. The project has already released a beta app through the App Store and Google Play, with $TAP still priced at $0.0589 during the presale.
