$AAVE Surges on Tokenized Stocks and Potential Burn Mechanism
Aave's tokenized equity lending market has expanded significantly as traders react to the integration of Coinbase-issued stocks. The $AAVE price surged over 16% in a short period, pushing it towards $166 and extending its recovery from September lows.
The Equities Hub on Aave V4 allows eligible users outside the US to deposit seven tokenized U.S. stocks as collateral, including Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Tesla. Chainlink provides pricing infrastructure for these tokenized equities.
Aavenomics 3.0 is also being discussed, with Aave founder Stani Kulechov hinting at adding a $AAVE burn mechanism to the existing buyback program. This could permanently remove some tokens from circulation and strengthen on-chain value capture.
