Aave V3 Sees $525M Surge in Tether Deposits Amid DeFi Lending Demand
Over the past three months, Aave V3 has seen an influx of USDT deposits totaling $525.7 million, pushing the total to approximately $3.03 billion by late July.
This represents a significant increase from May's $1.93 billion in USDT deposits on Aave V3's Core market, with a total rise of $1.1 billion when accounting for the full deposit trajectory.
The surge in demand has led to a substantial growth in active USDT loans on Aave V3, reaching $2.5 billion in July and increasing by $400 million from June alone.
As a result, the protocol's governance passed multiple proposals to raise USDT supply caps throughout 2026, with one notable proposal pushing the ceiling to $3.48 billion after utilization rates repeatedly hit the 90% to 97% range.
