Aave is exploring cross-chain expansion for its stablecoin GHO using Chainlink's CCIP, allowing for seamless interactions between different blockchain networks.

The proposal, titled '[ARFC] Launch sGHO Cross-Chain,' aims to make Aave's yield-bearing staked GHO vault accessible across multiple chains, including Avalanche. This would enable users on other networks to access and interact with sGHO without the need for bridging or fragmented liquidity.

The use of Chainlink CCIP ensures that deposits, withdrawals, accounting, balances, and vault shares remain consistent across all connected chains. This approach avoids the creation of multiple disconnected versions of the same product, maintaining a clean vault structure.

Avalanche's inclusion in this proposal is significant, as it offers a lower-fee, faster-execution environment with access to EVM-compatible applications. Bringing sGHO to Avalanche could deepen GHO's role in the broader DeFi market and increase its adoption potential.
