Aave's Path to Institutional Adoption: An 'Uber Path' to Regulation

Aave's founder and CEO Stani Kulechov believes that decentralized finance (DeFi) may need an 'Uber Path' to regulation, where DeFi adoption influences how regulators approach the sector.

Kulechov argues that institutional demand could become one of the largest sources of borrowing activity in DeFi, with Aave expanding its lending infrastructure towards tokenized real-world assets.

The protocol is preparing a dedicated real-world asset lending hub on Avalanche, which would allow institutions to use eligible tokenized financial assets as collateral for stablecoin loans without selling the underlying assets.
