ABTC Doubles Down on Bitcoin Accumulation with 300 BTC Addition
ABTC, a majority-owned subsidiary of Hut 8 Corp., has added 300 BTC to its treasury, pushing total holdings to 8,300 BTC. This is part of a relentless accumulation streak that began in October 2025 when ABTC held approximately 3,865 BTC.
The company's strategy revolves around mining Bitcoin and buying more, without ever selling any of its reserves. This approach has proven successful, with ABTC now holding roughly 115% more BTC than it did eight months ago.
ABTC's 'Bitcoin per share' strategy means every decision is filtered through the question: does this put more BTC on the balance sheet per outstanding share? The firm's mining output has been impressive, producing a record 932 BTC in Q2 2026 and helping push holdings to approximately 8,002 BTC by June 30.
The company's refusal to sell any of its reserves is both its biggest differentiator and risk factor. By not liquidating its BTC holdings, ABTC can't use sales as a liquidity lever during rough patches.
