Abu Dhabi Royal Takes Stake in Proposed US Crypto Bank Venture Backed by Trump
The UAE's national security adviser, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and his co-investors have taken control of a significant stake in World Liberty Financial's proposed US trust bank venture.
According to the Wall Street Journal, StringZ Holding RSC, backed by Sheikh Tahnoon's group, owns 49% of WLTC Holdings, while an entity affiliated with Donald Trump's family holds another 38%
The proposed bank would oversee the issuance, redemption, and custody of World Liberty's USD1 stablecoin under federal supervision.
Sheikh Tahnoon is also the chairman of artificial intelligence company G42, which received US approval for advanced AI chip exports in November 2025.
