ACI Connetic Integrates with Swift Blockchain Ledger for Tokenized Deposits

Share

ACI Worldwide has integrated its cloud-native payments hub, ACI Connetic, with Swift's blockchain-based ledger. This integration allows banks to manage tokenized-deposit transactions alongside conventional payment flows.

The capability eliminates the need for separate digital-asset payment operations and enables banks to process tokenized deposit payments using the same operational controls, workflows, and infrastructure as traditional payments.

Swift's blockchain-based ledger has been in live use since September 2, with First Abu Dhabi Bank and Citibank executing a USD transaction, and DBS Bank, OCBC, and UOB completing Singapore's first interbank SGD transaction based on tokenized deposits.

ACI Connetic connects to the Swift ledger through a common platform supporting traditional, instant, and digital-asset payment capabilities. The integration aims to make tokenized-payment capabilities usable within institutions' existing operating environments.
