Aero Surges Amid Arc Launch, Base TVL Highs, and Modest Supply Event
Aero's price has surged by nearly 6% over the past 13 hours due to several overlapping catalysts. One key factor is the public mainnet launch of Arc, an EVM-compatible Layer 1 focused on payments, FX, and tokenized assets. Circle announced that Aero will be a core DeFi token on Arc, alongside Uniswap and fomo, which has positioned Aero as a potential winner in the institutionally-backed L1.
The other two catalysts are related to Aero's supply event today. The tokenomics of Aero include gauges, incentives, ecosystem pairs, and public-goods allocations, which suggests that the scheduled token release is not just dilution but also a distribution/airdrop story. Additionally, the unlock value is approximately $2.25 million, about 0.30% of circulating supply.
Base DeFi TVL has hit a new all-time high of around $5.7 billion, with Aero being framed as the primary way to bet on Base growth and revenue-sharing protocols.
The combination of these three narratives, Base's growth, revenue-sharing DeFi, and future multi-chain expansion, has created a strong story that can justify the price move in Aero.
