Aerodrome and Velodrome Combine into Cross-Chain DEX Aero on October 21
Aerodrome and Velodrome are set to merge into a unified cross-chain decentralized exchange called Aero on October 21. This move will combine the two tokens, AERO and VELO, into a single AERO asset as the platforms migrate to Aero.
The planned merger has already had an impact on the market, with both tokens experiencing significant price increases over the past 24 hours. AERO traded at $0.89, up 25.5%, while VELO traded at $0.038, up 22.1%. The communities and trading platforms associated with both projects are also expected to migrate to Aero.
The new decentralized exchange will support multiple chains, including Base, Ethereum, OP, Arc, Ink, Robinhood Chain, and Arbitrum. According to the outlined allocation, about 94.5% of prior revenue will go to AERO holders and 5.5% to VELO holders.
