Aerodrome's Price Surge Halted by $8 Million Quarterly Loss
Aerodrome's price surged by 16% over the past day, adding to its already impressive 84% gain over the past 180 days. However, despite this short-term success, the asset is still down 73% from its all-time high of $2.40.
The current rise can be attributed to growth in Total Value Locked (TVL) and DeFi exchange volume. TVL has increased by nearly $31 million over the past couple of days, with DeFiLlama reporting a rise from $306.72 million to $337.73 million at the time of writing.
Additionally, DEX Volume has seen a notable increase, with trading activity heightened since August 5th. According to reports from DeFiLlama, the volume of Aerodrome traded on the protocol has climbed by nearly 50%, adding $215.04 million. The total volume rose from around $305.79 million to $520.83 million at the time of reporting.
However, a major concern for Aerodrome remains its current earnings, which have fallen to negative $8.15 million, marking the largest quarterly loss recorded by the protocol since Q3 2025. This decline in earnings may add to selling pressure and stall the asset's rally.
