Agnic.AI Hackathon Sees GoBTC Pay Track Focus on Agent-Driven Bitcoin Payments
GoBTC Pay has backed the Agnic.AI hackathon with a track for Bitcoin payments between AI agents. The event, known as Agentic Commerce Pioneers Edition II, took place from September 10 to 20, 2026, and concluded with a hybrid Demo Day in Toronto on September 21.
The track was set up to focus on building working prototypes using the GoBTC Pay protocol. Teams worked on a specific case study provided by GoBTC Pay and aimed to ship functional prototypes rather than concept decks.
Roman Yermoshin, General Manager at GoBTC Pay, emphasized the importance of the hackathon's topic: 'Before long, people will stop placing orders themselves. Their AI agents will take that routine over: the agents will choose the products and pay for the orders on our behalf.'
