AI Agents to Fuel Crypto Boom, Says Former Morgan Stanley Exec

Jordi Visser, a former Managing Director at Morgan Stanley and current macro strategist and head of AI Macro Research at 22V Research, believes that cryptocurrency's next boom will be driven by billions of artificial intelligence (AI) agents.

Visser argues that Wall Street is underestimating the adoption of AI by counting companies like OpenAI as individual customers rather than platforms serving millions of AI agents. He says that today's banking and payments systems are too slow and fragmented to enable machine-to-machine commerce at scale.

The convergence of AI and crypto will be a key factor in the development of digital assets, which Visser believes will become the financial infrastructure for autonomous AI agents. Agents will require fast, secure, and cost-effective payment solutions, driving the adoption of stablecoins and tokenized assets.
