AI Crypto Projects Hit by Single Hacker Over Weekend
Over the weekend of September 19 and 20, three AI-focused crypto projects - Fetch.ai, NuNet, and SingularityNET - were hit by a single hacker. According to PeckShield, the attacker was behind all three incidents.
The first move came on Saturday at 20:21 UTC when roughly 8.7 million FET left Fetch.ai's Ethereum token converter. The figure is confirmed by Fetch.ai's own on-chain analysis and KuCoin.
Fetch.ai's preliminary read pointed to a compromised signing key, not a bug in the contract logic. Within a minute, a stolen NuNet minting key printed 408.5 million NTX, about 42% of the total supply.
