AI-Driven Demand Boosts Cryptocurrency Stocks: Core Scientific, Oracle, and TeraWulf Lead the Way
Global demand for AI-related technology is driving export orders for key chip and electronics hubs, creating a ripple effect that reaches into cryptocurrency and blockchain stocks. As more computing power and data infrastructure are built, blockchains and digital asset platforms often attract fresh capital.
Three stocks tied to the trend have been identified by Simply Wall St's Top Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Stocks screener: Core Scientific (CORZ), Oracle (ORCL), and TeraWulf (WULF). These companies are at the intersection of AI, machine learning, and blockchain technology.
Core Scientific is one of the largest US providers of power-hungry infrastructure for Bitcoin mining and high-density compute. Its digital asset self-mining segment generates about $151 million in revenue, while hosted mining brings in around $29 million. The company's core link to crypto and blockchain is its digital asset self-mining and hosted mining operations.
Oracle, a global enterprise software and cloud company, provides exposure to enterprise blockchain through its Oracle Blockchain Platform, which sits inside Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. This platform connects it to the cryptocurrency and blockchain theme. While Oracle's business is still overwhelmingly driven by its core cloud and software segment, generating about $58.5 billion in revenue, its blockchain activity sits on top of heavy AI data center spending.
TeraWulf runs large-scale Bitcoin mining and digital infrastructure sites in the US, serving high-performance computing workloads. Its reported revenue comes from digital asset mining of about $95 million, alongside a segment adjustment of roughly $70 million. TeraWulf's long-term AI and Bitcoin hosting deals could be masking a very different risk-reward profile than a pure miner.
