Rapid7 has exposed an AI-coded crypto phishing operation called Operation ASTERIX, which targeted 885,000 phone numbers and matched 43,066 of them to real exchange accounts.

The disclosure highlights a large-scale AI-driven phishing risk to exchange accounts and CEX users, raising security and fraud concerns that could undermine user trust in crypto.
