The Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company (AIUC) has secured $40 million in Series A funding, bringing its total capital to roughly $55 million. Led by Ribbit Capital, the round also saw participation from First Harmonic.

AIUC's core product is AIUC-1, a framework that functions similarly to SOC 2 certification but for AI systems. It audits AI safety, reliability, and compliance, then ties insurance coverage directly to the results.

The company emerged from stealth in July 2025 with a $15 million seed round led by Nat Friedman, the former CEO of GitHub.
