AIxCrypto Holdings Wipes Out Nearly All Cash Reserves Amid Pre-Revenue Status
A pre-revenue company, AIxCrypto Holdings, burned through nearly all of its cash reserves over the past six months. The company's cash and cash equivalents line fell from $19.33 million on December 31 to just $577,328 on June 30 - a staggering 97% decline.
The business is developing a robot-rental marketplace called RoboShare while carrying digital assets on its balance sheet. However, it has yet to record any revenue, with the closest thing to an operating revenue path being a Los Angeles pilot still in preparation.
A closer look at the company's cash flow statement reveals that $12 million was routed into securities issued by Faraday Future, which is described as AIxCrypto's controlling majority stockholder. This is not a typical portfolio holding but rather capital directed into the parent company - all while AIxCrypto remains pre-revenue.
The fair value of digital assets slid to $5.21 million from $10.25 million at year-end, resulting in a $2.93 million net loss on those holdings across the six months. The trajectory is not ambiguous, with Bitcoin making up about 52% of the June 30 portfolio.
