$ALGO Breaks Out of Descending Channel, Eyes $0.15 Target

Algorand's token has broken out of a multi-month descending channel and is pushing back above short-term levels, according to recent market data. The token currently trades at $0.09035, up 6.99% in the past 24 hours, with a circulating supply of 9.03 billion $ALGO against a total and max supply of 10 billion tokens.

The Algorand Foundation's network activity has seen a localized surge, processing over 584,000 transactions in a single 24-hour window, the busiest day for the $ALGO network in the past seven days. This increased activity is supporting the price action, with open interest in $ALGO derivatives climbing to $46.84 million, up from around $43.98 million just hours earlier.

The on-chain data shows that Algorand's network is producing blocks every 2.778 seconds at 14.8 transactions per second, with block height past 64.6 million. The token's price action has broken out of its descending channel and is now holding support from the channel's upper trendline near $0.08657.
