Algo Price Hinges on Fee-Generating Usage Amid Expanding RWA Ecosystem
Algorand's native token ALGO has been struggling to regain momentum after a 45% drop from its June peak. Despite this, the project continues to expand its real-world asset (RWA) ecosystem into various industries.
The RWA narrative is impressive, with Algorand supporting fractional U.S. real estate through Lofty, tokenized gold and silver via Meld Gold, renewable energy assets from Enel, and more. This growth is made possible by Algorand Standard Assets (ASAs), which enable regulated features such as transfer restrictions and freezing directly at the protocol layer.
However, the market remains skeptical about ALGO's price performance. The token's recent drop toward $0.076 was followed by an immediate rebound, forming a long lower wick that may indicate short-term seller exhaustion. Nevertheless, buyers need to reclaim the $0.082-$0.087 range and hold it before the structure improves.
The disconnect between ecosystem growth and token performance persists, with validator rewards exceeding fee generation, leading to continuous token emissions that weigh on price.
