XRP Ledger Set for Major Upgrade with Five Key Protocol Amendments
Ripple has announced the upcoming release of xrpld 3.3.0, a technology update package that includes five major protocol amendments for the XRP Ledger.
The amendments aim to accelerate global network adoption in cross-border payment operations, collateral management, asset trading, and instant settlement.
The updates include Confidential MPT, which allows private balances to be managed without revealing amounts publicly on the distributed ledger; Batch, which enables the execution of complex delivery-versus-payment (DvP) operations under institutional standards; Permission Delegation, which grants differentiated roles and permissions within an entity's operational staff; Sponsored Fees and Reserves, which modifies the traditional cost structure when interacting with the distributed ledger by allowing large corporate institutions to assume transaction fee payments and required account balance reserves on behalf of their end clients; and Dynamic MPT, which grants issuing entities the ability to adjust token parameters throughout its operational lifecycle.
The release of xrpld 3.3.0 marks the beginning of the technical review phase by independent validators deployed across the global network.
