Alien Worlds Unveils Planetary Defense Beta V3 with Community-Backed Features

The Alien Worlds team has rolled out Planetary Defense Beta V3, marking the latest iteration of their Magor-based strategy game. This new build is playable at beta.planetarydefense.io and includes features paid for by a community grant backed by Galactic Hubs, adding to the 90,000 TLM allocated through three Magor Custodian proposals.

In an interview with MjaM, the team behind Planetary Defense shared how their initial concept of Land Defense evolved into a broader strategy experience built around teamwork, NFT utility, missions, bosses, PvP, and community-driven design. According to MjaM, players can now link their WAX wallet, choose a leader, and assemble a military division from NFT creatures, weapons, and supplies.

Rewards in Planetary Defense come from completing missions, which also unlock fresh territories. Bigger payouts are attached to community raids, while players can either strike at rival lands to seize resources and move up the leaderboard or hold the line against raids on their own holdings. Resources flow from staked NFT lands, and equipment is forged by players and sold through the game's marketplace.
