AllUnity Enters USD Stablecoin Market with USDAU
AllUnity has entered the US dollar stablecoin market with USDAU, its fourth fiat-backed stablecoin. The new token is pegged to the US dollar at a 1:1 ratio using segregated reserves and complies with EU MiCA regulations.
The launch of USDAU adds to AllUnity's existing lineup of euro (EURAU), Swiss franc (CHFAU), and Swedish krona (SEKAU) tokens issued under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regime. According to CoinGecko data, US dollar-pegged stablecoins account for more than 99% of the global stablecoin market by capitalization.
AllUnity CEO Alexander Höptner argued that European regulators are focused on the liquidity and supervision of stablecoins rather than the dollar itself. He stated that USDAU aims to place dollar liquidity inside Europe's regulatory perimeter while still giving European companies the dollars they need for global trade and cross-border payments.
