AllUnity Launches US Dollar-Pegged Stablecoin USDAU Amid EU Regulatory Concerns
European stablecoin issuer AllUnity has launched USDAU, its fourth fiat-backed stablecoin. The new token is pegged to the US dollar and will maintain a 1:1 ratio through segregated reserves. This expansion brings AllUnity's lineup of MiCA-regulated stablecoins to four, covering the euro (EURAU), Swiss franc (CHFAU), Swedish krona (SEKAU), and now the US dollar.
USDAU will debut on several blockchain platforms, including Ethereum, Solana, Base, Tempo, Arc, and Polygon. The launch comes as policymakers in Europe debate the implications of dollar stablecoin dominance. According to CoinGecko, US dollar-pegged tokens account for over 99% of the $291 billion global stablecoin market.
