AllUnity Launches USD-Pegged Stablecoin USDAU Amid Dollar Dominance Concerns

European stablecoin issuer AllUnity has launched its fourth fiat-backed stablecoin, USDAU. The new token is pegged to the US dollar and will maintain a 1:1 ratio through segregated reserves.

USDAU will be available on multiple blockchain platforms, including Ethereum, Solana, Base, Tempo, Arc, and Polygon.

AllUnity's stablecoin lineup now includes euro-backed EURAU, Swiss franc-backed CHFAU, Swedish krona-backed SEKAU, and USD-backed USDAU. The company is regulated under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework.

According to CoinGecko, US dollar-pegged tokens account for more than 99% of the global stablecoin market by capitalization, with a total value of around $291 billion.
