Alpha Modus Locks $200 Million in Bitcoin Through Strategic Transactions

The crypto landscape is witnessing a significant shift as US-listed entities scramble to build up their treasuries. On August 28, Alpha Modus (NASDAQ: AMOD) announced a planned acquisition that will see it quickly obtain 3,170 BTC, valued at over $200 million. Unlike traditional methods of buying Bitcoin on the secondary market, which carries significant slippage and time risk, Alpha Modus has opted for strategic transactions to achieve its goal.

This approach involves using equity swaps, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), or issuing targeted convertible bonds to systematically acquire the target assets. Once the Bitcoins are delivered and consolidated on the balance sheet, Alpha Modus's valuation logic will change, transforming it into a treasury concept stock with a strong crypto beta profile.

Meanwhile, DeFi Development Corp has taken a more cautious approach, resuming regular purchases of SOL after a period of holding silence. The company acquired 19,000 SOL at an average price of $98.14, spending approximately $1.86 million in the process.
