Altcoin ETFs Not Dead, Grayscale Says Despite Withdrawn Filings

Grayscale's recent withdrawal of its ETF applications for Cardano (ADA), Hedera (HBAR), and Polkadot (DOT) has raised questions about the viability of altcoin ETFs. However, Zach Pandl, a representative from Grayscale, disagrees with this assessment.

In an interview, Pandl emphasized that it would be a mistake to say that altcoins are 'dead' in the broader sense. He highlighted the diversity and large size of the crypto asset class, which includes emerging applications such as stablecoins, tokenized assets, and perpetual futures, beyond Bitcoin (BTC).

Pandl stated that Grayscale continues to evaluate market demand and technological advancements before deciding which products to launch. Not every digital asset will achieve the same level of success as Bitcoin, according to Pandl.

The firm remains selective but sees continued opportunities across the broader altcoin space, according to Pandl. This suggests that Grayscale is not deterred by recent setbacks and continues to explore potential avenues for growth in the market.
