Altcoin Exchange Deposits Soar by 160% in Two Weeks

CryptoQuant has reported a significant surge in altcoin exchange deposits over the past two weeks. According to the firm, there were approximately 78,000 altcoin deposit transactions recorded on September 28, marking the highest level since October 2025.

This represents an increase of around 160% from about 29,800 transactions recorded on September 14. The number of addresses sending altcoins to exchanges also climbed sharply, rising from roughly 17,600 to approximately 51,600 over the same period.

CryptoQuant attributed this activity to potential profit-taking risk, as exchange deposits are often a precursor to selling. The firm noted that the buildup is broad-based rather than concentrated in a narrow group of participants.
