Altcoin Market Faces Key Test as Momentum Fades
The altcoin market is facing a test of its recent rally as four major assets hover near key support levels. Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, Hyperliquid's HYPE token, and Monero have all pulled back from their August and September peaks but remain above critical floors.
Dogecoin is trading near $0.083 after a sharp surge in August that carried it from roughly $0.07 to just under $0.095. The rally stalled at the upper boundary, with two failed attempts to clear the $0.09 to $0.095 resistance zone leaving buyers struggling to extend the recovery.
Shiba Inu remains trapped in a narrow trading band around $0.00000519, lacking a clear directional bias despite rapid price swings seen in August. The token has repeatedly tested the $0.0000050 to $0.0000051 support zone since September and managed to bounce each time.
Hyperliquid's HYPE token has undergone its first meaningful pullback after an explosive run from about $56 to nearly $90 between August and September. Monero, the leading privacy-focused cryptocurrency, has been consolidating after a powerful rally that lifted the token from about $350 in July to nearly $560 at the September high.
The divergence between medium-term trend structure and short-term momentum is particularly notable. In each case, moving averages on longer timeframes remain supportive, suggesting the broader uptrends are not yet broken.
