Altcoin Rally Drowns Out Bitcoin as Dominance Metric Plummets
This week was marked by an unexpected turn of events in the cryptocurrency market. Despite hitting $87,300 on the heels of massive ETF inflows, Bitcoin's momentum stalled after it failed to recapture its peak.
The largest cryptocurrency dipped below $83,000 on Thursday but rebounded to $85,000 earlier today. However, the bears persisted and pushed it south to $83,500 as of press time.
This downturn has led to a decline in Bitcoin's dominance metric, which has lost roughly 2% in a week. Meanwhile, altcoins have been making significant gains, with BTW leading the charge at an impressive 73% weekly surge.
