Altcoin Rally Spreads Across Crypto Market, Led by NEAR, ARB, AVAX, INJ, and UNI
A rally of altcoins has exploded over the past week, led by NEAR, ARB, AVAX, INJ, and UNI. According to data from TradingView, Near Protocol (NEAR) rose over 60%, Arbitrum (ARB) gained over 54%, and Avalanche (AVAX) added over 40%. Uniswap (UNI), Zcash (ZEC), and Injective (INJ) also saw significant gains of 38%, 33%, and 32% respectively.
The rally has been driven by a combination of technical breakouts, token-specific developments, and broader interest across several crypto sectors. Analyst Michaël van de Poppe pointed to Arbitrum's breakout on Friday, calling the move 'very clear.' He said the trend continued to point higher.
Meanwhile, Kevin O'Leary, popularly known as 'Mr Wonderful,' explained at the Avalanche Summit that he had moved away from his earlier strategy of holding only Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). He stated that he once expected the market to standardize around Ethereum, but it has not happened. O'Leary added that different sectors could choose different blockchains, and adoption by a major exchange could send the value of the selected token 'through the roof.'
The Injective rally came with fresh ETF development, as the SEC received an amended filing for the proposed 21Shares Injective ETF. The fund would trade on Nasdaq (NDAQ) under the ticker 'TING' and track INJ through the FTSE Injective Index.
