Altcoin Rally: Which Has the Strongest Support?
Litecoin and other altcoins have outperformed Bitcoin this week, but their rallies tell different stories about which one deserves its new price.
The Litecoin Trust, managed by Grayscale, has been trading over-the-counter since 2018 and now seeks approval to convert into an ETF on the NYSE Arca. While this conversion allows existing $82 million worth of Litecoin to trade as an ETF, it does not bring in new investors just yet.
Litecoin's price has still swung between $62 and $80 on September 24 before closing near $72, with a gain of 41.7% over the past month.
Stellar's main catalyst emerged when BVNK, set to be acquired by Mastercard, announced support for Stellar payments in over 130 markets, but its trading volume dropped from around 131 million XLM, worth $29 million, on September 21 to 88 million XLM, worth $19 million, on September 24.
Chainlink's rally appears to have the most substantial backing, with two banking technology partnerships in a month and an upward trend for 2026. Stellar comes in second because its live payment support requires very little XLM.
