Altcoin Surge: AAVE, SAND, and PUMP Show Strong On-Chain Signals
October has started with a shift in momentum towards altcoins, but some tokens are standing out for their on-chain signals. AAVE, SAND, and PUMP are showing distinct signs of market participation that could keep them in focus if the broader crypto market remains supportive.
AAVE is benefiting from renewed DeFi activity, jumping from around $159 at the start of October to above $180, with a 13.8% move on October 3 alone. Weighted Sentiment has turned higher alongside price, while whale activity has also strengthened, with wallets holding between 100,000 and 1 million AAVE adding around 190,000 AAVE since September 28, worth roughly $30 million at recent prices.
SAND has delivered the most aggressive price move among the three, surging 53.77% on October 3 from $0.045 to $0.0693, with daily volume crossing $1 billion. The Whale Transaction Count above $100K has exploded at the same time as SAND's price acceleration.
PUMP is entering October with a different catalyst: social activity. Trading volume and the Social Volume chart show a clear increase in discussion as PUMP recovered from below $0.004 to the $0.005, $0.006 region, although it has since consolidated around the $0.0058, $0.0060 area.
