Altcoin Surge Continues as Institutional Demand for Bitcoin Remains Strong
The cryptocurrency market has experienced a surge in value, driven by institutional demand for Bitcoin and strong narratives around altcoins.
Bitcoin ETF inflows have been significant, with U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recording approximately $190.7 million in net inflows on September 24, following larger inflows earlier in the week of roughly $999 million, $714.7 million, and $346.9 million.
The altcoin space has seen substantial gains, with QNT surging more than 30% after Quant was selected by The Clearing House to power technology for its On-Chain Money Initiative, and ONDO exploding after Ondo Finance launched three onchain portfolio products based on model portfolio strategies developed by BlackRock.
Real-world asset and tokenization projects have become one of the market's strongest pockets, with QNT and ONDO among today's biggest gainers. SUI and NEAR are also seeing substantial gains, while Solana's move above $120 adds another sign that capital is moving further out along the crypto risk curve.
The next test is if Bitcoin can remain stable while altcoins continue advancing. If BTC holds its recent gains, capital could continue rotating into assets such as SUI, NEAR, SOL and tokenization-related cryptocurrencies.
