Altcoins Poised for Growth as August Ushers in Upgrades and Launches
As the crypto market continues to navigate uncertainty, several altcoins are poised for growth in August thanks to upcoming blockchain upgrades, ETF developments, and product launches.
Solana tops the list as a low-risk pick due to its upcoming network upgrade, which will roll out the Agave 4.2 client from August 17, bringing faster block times, reduced rent costs, and increased transaction capacity.
However, on-chain analyst Ali Martinez noted that smaller Solana holders have decreased their participation in the past two weeks, with a 5% drop in wallets holding at least 0.1 SOL.
Bittensor (TAO) follows as a second contender, with growing institutional interest in decentralized AI and potential ETF approval from Grayscale and Bitwise.
Cardano is also nearing a key regulatory milestone on August 9, marking six months since CME Cardano futures launched, allowing exchanges to pursue a spot ADA ETF under the SEC's streamlined framework.
