Altura Suspends Final Payouts Amid Bank Account Restriction
Altura, a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol, has suspended the final payout phase of its Vault after its corporate bank account was temporarily restricted. The restriction is holding £16.4 million in funds that were meant for user redemptions.
The protocol had been winding down since mid-year, with a peak total value locked (TVL) of approximately $39 million on the HyperEVM network. It successfully processed over 8.5 million USDT in withdrawals during June 2026 and recovered $14.97 million from its positions, leaving an outstanding balance of $6.95 million.
Altura's management attributed the suspension to the bank account being restricted for internal review, with no timeline provided for when it would be unfrozen or funds transferred back to users.
