Analyst Sees BTC Price Drop to $60K as Healthy Reset Before Rally
The price of BTC has experienced enhanced volatility over the past week, stabilizing at around $64,500 according to CoinGecko's data. Despite the ongoing bear market, popular analyst Ali Martinez believes a drop to around $60K would be a healthy reset for the cryptocurrency.
Martinez argues that such a pullback could complete a classic inverse head-and-shoulders pattern and set the stage for a rally to a two-month high of around $74,000. The setup consists of three dips, a low (left shoulder), a deeper plunge (head), and another low (right shoulder), indicating that sellers are running out of steam.
The completion of this pattern combined with a confirmed breakout above $66,500 could open the door to a pump, according to Martinez. He also points out that whales have purchased roughly 29,000 units (worth more than $1.8 billion at current rates) over the past week, which is considered a bullish sign.
