Anchorage Digital and Standard Chartered Expand Institutional Banking Services
Anchorage Digital is enhancing its banking services for international institutional clients through a new partnership with Standard Chartered. The collaboration introduces USD accounts and SWIFT access, complementing Anchorage Digital’s existing crypto custody and trading services.
Clients onboarded through Anchorage Digital Singapore can now hold US dollars, conduct international wires, and transfer funds to third parties via Standard Chartered’s banking network. The service also supports 24/7 settlement with counterparties that bank with Standard Chartered Singapore, including during weekends and holidays.
The expansion aims to unify fiat and digital asset operations on a single platform, eliminating the need for institutions to use separate providers for banking, custody, trading, and settlement. Clients can access institutional USD accounts, named virtual accounts, SWIFT transfers, and Anchorage Digital’s Atlas settlement network alongside its digital asset services.
“Global businesses should not have to choose between the speed of digital assets and the reliability of traditional banking rails,” said Anchorage Digital CEO and co-founder Nathan McCauley. The service targets global trading firms, crypto exchanges, protocols, neobanks, banks, asset managers, family offices, and corporates operating across multiple markets.
The partnership also strengthens Anchorage Digital’s presence in the Asia Pacific region, where institutional demand for digital asset infrastructure is growing. Standard Chartered Global Head of Fintech Luke Boland highlighted that the collaboration merges the bank’s payments and risk infrastructure with Anchorage Digital’s regulated platform, simplifying cross-border management of fiat and digital assets.
