Anchorage Digital Bank Expands Custody Reach with Etherlink Support

Anchorage Digital Bank has expanded its institutional custody platform to support Etherlink and seven assets issued on the Tezos layer-2 network. The addition of these assets marks a significant move for federally chartered crypto custody, which is now venturing into tokenized real-world assets.

The supported assets include wrapped XTZ, stXTZ, USDT, USDC, USDSM, and wrapped Ether, in addition to xU3O8, a token representing physical uranium. This uranium token allows investors to own the commodity without directly handling or storing it, which typically requires specialist intermediaries and can involve long settlement periods.

Anchorage's integration of Etherlink and these assets enables institutional clients to hold them in segregated accounts at the federally chartered bank. Tokenization reduces the settlement time from weeks to minutes, making it easier for institutions to access tokenized commodities.
