Anchorage Digital Cuts 17% of Workforce Amid Market Slump
Anchorage Digital, a federally chartered U.S. digital-asset bank, has laid off nearly 17% of its workforce amid the market downturn.
The company's CEO, Nathan McCauley, informed employees about the layoffs this week, according to reports from October 2.
Anchorage Digital had approximately 400 employees worldwide at the time, meaning around 68 jobs were eliminated in the process.
The company has been growing rapidly since it received a national trust charter from the Office of the Comptroller of Currency (OCC) in 2021 and became the first crypto company to do so.
